My family is known for making the best spaghetti bolognese pasta sauce! This is the perfect winter cosy recipe, that everyone cant get enough of. We also use this sauce in wraps and on nachos!

Ingredients : The smaller recipe

Double the recipe if you are making more!

1 x onions

1-2 garlics

1 x small bit of turmeric

A handful of fresh herbs - the more herbs the more flavour

If you don’t have fresh dried is fine (Tablespoon of each)

  • Basil
  • Parsley
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Oregano

1 TBPS mixed Italian herbs

500g lean mince meat

2 x tin of chopped/peeled tin tomatoes

1 x tub tomato paste

2 x tin’s of water - Use the tomato tins

Salt and pepper

1 x carrot

1 x zucchini

1 x packet of spaghetti pasta

Bonus - If you have bone broth in the freezer add a few cubes in! I add the “milk to meals” bone broth!

Directions :

  1. Finely chop onion, turmeric, garlic and cook on low with oil until golden.
  2. Add the mince and break up any lumps. Once cooked i drain the fat / access liquid out.
  3. Add finely grated carrot and zucchini
  4. Add tins of tomatoes and past along with all your herbs. Add broth cubes if you have.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
  6. Add your tins of water, this will make it liquidy.
  7. Cook for a few hours! Reduce heat to low. The water will evaporate and the flavours will enhance! YUM
  8. Taste test - add more herbs if desire
  9.  Serve and freeze all your leftover in your ice cube trays!
  10. Serve with parmesan cheese and enjoy!
